Last minute call to action!

Please come to Astoria tomorrow, Saturday, August 30 to tell Oregon Speaker of the House Jeff Merkely that he shouldn’t limit Oregon’s energy choices.

Despite the ever-rising costs of electricity and energy in Oregon, U.S. Representative and U.S. Senate candidate Jeff Merkely continues to oppose clean, affordable natural gas.  Merkley has resisted new liquefied natural gas terminals that would not only bring this clean fossil fuel closer to the people who need it, but would boost local economies and investsments in Oregon’s energy security.

Tomorrow’s meeting is an important one.  Oregon needs real energy solutions, not empty rhetoric.  We need people to attend and tell Jeff Merkely that politicians shouldn’t be standing in the way of technologies and energy sources that could mean lower costs for Oregon families.
